“My name is Lia Simmons. I'm currently a Senior in high school. I've been rowing for the past five years out of Oakland, California. In the fall, I'll be continuing my journey of rowing at the University of Pennsylvania. Over the past year, the A Most Beautiful Thing Inclusion Fund has done a lot for me and my progression as an athlete with participation in events like Stockton and Craftsbury that were really built to just celebrate Black rowers and people of color and also inspire the youth and show them the power that rowing has to bring.”

Thanks to our Partners

Through partnerships with Concept2 and HUDSON Boat Works, A Most Beautiful Thing Inclusion Fund is able to provide top of the line equipment to rowing programs who are at the forefront of creating diversity and inclusion within the rowing community. In AMBTIF's inaugural year, programs so far received 250 RowErgs, 19 new HUDSON shells, and 100 new oars. In a sport where older equipment has the ability to negatively affect a rowers' performance, this premier equipment ensures that all rowers - regardless of their background or income status - are beginning from the same starting line.
